[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Maine's lobster boats consist of a crew of two, The captain and the sternman, but in this case we have a sternwoman. The captain lifts the traps via the hoist and the sterperson unloads the trap measure for leagal size with a keen eye not to take a female with eggs. Then she baits the trap, shoves it to the captain who lowers it back to the sea. The white boxes on the gunwales of the boat are bait bags that she prepares as they leave port.

A very good composition featuring this lobster boat under a lovely light. I like the diagonal placing of the subject boat and the juxtaposition with the surrounding craft. Very good sharpness.

very nice the explanation about the lobster boats,the crew and the job that they do on the board.I like the light and the colors of the scene as the large number of boats that exists in the background.Well done.

Tom, I think I could spend a lot of time doing this work, it certainly is appealing, and I even don't get sea sick. Your shot is nice, nice composition and color, tho the exposure is as hot as it cna get I think. Anyway very nice shot and looks like a great vacation spot, I think now after the kids are back in school...
