I spotted this old Coke cooler while wandering around the salty streets of Vinalhaven village a off shore Maine fishing island. This scene instantly brought back memories of my chilhood when you would pay your dime and reach in the cold water to dig out the soda pop. What a nice treat in those by gone days. Notice the drift wood and sea urchin on the next door table.

Hi, Tom,
GREAT light and color in this and the detail is wonderful. I like all the nice lines and angles and that bit of ocean you can see to the left. That is a really cool shot of Americana. Very well done! Thanks a bunch and kindest regards,
Shelly

Hello Tom,
Those were the good old days!
many thanks for sharing some thing to remember our youth that had gone by!

Yes I remember it well, but I think it was a quarter here :) The people designing this sign sure knew what they were doing, they sure do grab you eye, even in this gallery! I love the colors in this picture. The wall behind, the table and contents beside, the ocean....all make a very lovely picture. Have a good day!

Hi Tom
Nice shot about old days. The colors, contrasts and textures are well presented. In Brazil, we didn't have it. Well done. Best regards, Consuelo

Hello Tom,
Nice capture of this American icon. Some very nice tones and textures.

Hello Tom! Old drink but constantly "newly invented", generation after generation. I shared my first coke with my grandmother and it felt sensational, like newborn (and I gained nasty looks from my mother, probably thinking of my poor teeth). I never changed to diet coke, I go for the real stuff, ice cold, directly from the ice box down my mouth. I find your photo treatment really really good, it has an old look somehow. Have a wonderful day, I am almost on the way to Denver/Co., flying on Thursday morning at 7 via Munich. Take care, have a good pre-summer, New England style :)))))))))) Barbara.

Hello Tom,
Great shot of this old cocoa cola box, excellent composition and good low point of view, nice worn textures and lovely colors.

hi Tom

The good old days, always nice to find old items that remind of the ways and lives of yester years when things were so simple and pleasant without complexity. Just the name of Coca-cola will coincide with so many generations.

Hi Tom,
Very interesting detail giving a feeling of an outdoor museum. Glimpse of the sea connects this to maritime environment. Very nicely matching colours. I might frame the fridge more off-centre to the right.
Kari

things go better with coke, no matter what, no matter where!
that cooler should go to the local museum instead of being left there to rust..:-). the icebox reminds me of my childhood days.
Benedict

Hi Tom,
Coca Cola has always been special to me...
It goes all the way back to my early years, in the '50s and '60s, when I was a little kid.
We didn't have a lot of money and a bottle of Coke was a luxury, no more no less. I can afford it now, but it still looks and feels like something special...
Lovely shot, buddy. Lovely and nostalgic.
Framing, textures and colors are superb. Thanks for sharing!
And... Freddie say wooof to Gunner!
Thanks for passing by my lighthouse shot, I greatly appreciate.
Have a good day, I'll be seeing ya soon.
Ciao,
Fulvio.
