A new entry after some absence.
Been traveling in New England this summer, and here is the first of many from that trip.
Cape Elizabeth Light House, (or Portland Headlight) is one of the most photographed spots in the USA. It´s easy to understand why. I think the woman who is painting it adds to the image.

Hello Goran ,
The place is so photogenic , and a dream fot the painters ;) . This is a perfectly composed picture . Your choice of B&W : why not ? That create a nostalgic atmosphere . But i should have liked to see this view in colors .

I really like your choice of monochrome for this study. The tones and textures are lovely, and the girl in the foreground adds another level of interest, especially as she's trying to render the same scene as you, in a different medium. Good work.

welcome back! This is a beautiful interpretation and presentation of the natural scenery. You've made the most of the permanent and transitory elements of the scene through a very well balanced and interesting composition. I like very much how the description starts with the artist, her presence adds interest to the foreground and entices us to explore the setting more carefully. You've created a fine network of perspectives that, in my opinion, the monochrome makes even more effective. I love the textures and the play of the light with the vast range of greys. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,

I really like this shot for the quality of the black and white tones you have achieved throughout this image. The tonal range is spot on and I could imagine this would make a great print hanging on the wall. My only point would be that to my eye, and this is entirely subjective, is that I would have preferred the artist in the FG to be slightly more to the right or left so that she is not so centrally placed. I guess there wasn't much you could do about that though and as I say it is just my own subjective view!
Great shot though like it a lot!

Hello Goran - I missed this post when I was away and it's a B&W beauty. Many would 'see' this immediately in colour but I do like your choice of B&W here. The details and tonal range are superb and the fine composition can be enjoyed for light texture and tone alone. Congratulations on a super post. Warm regards Rosemary
