This is the view that Forest Gump had as he decided to turn around and keep running back towards the west coast until he was able to resolve his conflicts.
Marshall Point House is a musuem with many artifacts including pictures of Tom Hanks.
The scene lasted less than 10 seconds but took three days to shoot.

Hola Tom,
The house is very nice and the perspective from the bridge is wonderful. The white contrasts well with the environment and the magnificent sky. Nice job very well done.
Best regards,
Charo

Tom,
Your composition is great using this famous dock to lead the eye into the shot. The lighting and colors are fantastic with excellent sharpness and DOF. Forest Gump has to be one of my favorite movies so it's nice to see some of the filming locations.
TFS,
Asa

Hi tom,
A very nice perspective here of this historic place. Very good contrasts and rich colors. I like it. TFs. Gerald

Beautiful scene, with the white house under the blue sky and the line of that bridge. A nice graceful architecture...

hi Tom

I cannot remember the house but definitely remember the turn-back in the movie. The house looks great in your composition with green, blue and white.

A nice museum to visit!

tfs, bill

Hi Tom
It's an excellent shot captured with smart POV that became like 3D view. The colors and textures are marvelous with good contrasts. Well done, friend. Best regards, Consuelo

Hello Tom,
I am probably one of the few people left who hasn't the seen 'Forest Gump'! A superb composition of this beautiful old house with the wooden walkway providing a very appropriate lead-line towards the house. The white timbers look superb under that polarised blue sky. Clarity is wonderful. Good photo work.

The vertical format works well here Tom. Well composed and nicely exposed.
Phil

Hi Tom,

Hello Tom,

Strong lead-in, I don't have much choice about where to go here!
The polarized sky makes a great background for the fine old house, details and sharpness are just right...
A well balanced composition with a fine sense of depth!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Tom,
fine picture with documentary value and excellent composition and colors.

Hi Tom
What a nice house (now a museum) well placed in the picture. Excellent exposure and management of light. The point of view (from the little bridge) is excellent as the colours.
Best regards
Denis!

Hello Tom,

One has to admire your skill at capturing so much white with excellent control!
Great pov using the nicely placed bridge to lead the eye directly towards the main focal point.
The details are clear and sharp, and the colours are perfectly saturated.
An interesting building, very much in the American style.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Tom,
I like this house design a lot, first this wooden architecture is appealing and then having it painted white is excellent to deliver plenty of highlights and resulting contrasts in the image, introduction using part of the bridge adds elements succession and depths. a pleasant subject and composition.
Have a nice day JY

Excellent shot. I love how you have used the extreme perspective of the bridge to lead the eye into the scene. The polariser has done a superb job on the sky and probably the whites which are very well exposed.
No wonder films are so expensive to make when 10 seconds of film takes 3 days. ;D

Hi Tom,
Excellent DOF, wonderful colors. Interesting how long it takes to shoot a scene. They've been filming in Ocean Beach for several days now.

Interesting that your father grew up in a divided county; that must have been difficult. My husband's father was also born in Ireland; but he died when larry was 8 so Larry doesn't know his birthplace. He was catjholic, so he thinks probably southern Ireland.

Tom,
I was looking at the thumbnail and asking myself what does that have to do with Forest Gump? Took a while until my bulb went on. Openning and reading your note was just the confirmation to my suspiscion. I'm sure that you weren't there for 3 days to get this perfect shot, right? :-)

hope you're well

Hi, Tom.
Flawless shot, no need for high-tech chitchat : a real pleasure to look at. Interesting note too, I didn't realize this was in Forrest Gump, TFS!
