All the elements for a day a the beach are present except one. The temp this day was about 30 F or -1 C with winds at about 15 mph leaving Old Orchard Beach devoid of tourist.

Tom,
At first glance I thought this was the Daytona Beach pier, after seeing the full size version I realized it was not. If you had not given the temp I would have thought this was a nice sunny summer day. I like your composition with the pier forming a diagonal through the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Good morning Tom! Back at the beach, very empty in February of course but this is the "moment of the moments" to visit when people sit inside and it is nice and quiet still. I like the sea spray coming up and the waves approaching the land, this gives a nice move to the otherwise calm beach scene. I like your "Tom style" photo treatment, and I can never explain what I really mean but it is different to any other photo style. I guess I could explain in German but this would be boring for you, and as I don't want to write to myself I rather let it be for the time being :) Have a wonderful day, Barbara.

Hello Tom,
Very nice composition, I like the sun glistening over the water, the incoming breakers with their spray and the footprints in the sand. Very good light, colours and clarity.

Hello Tom,

This doesn't look like winter to me!
There is a little spume flying off the top of the waves, but apart from that, it looks warm and sunny!
The footprints add f/g interest, then the pier leads the eye over the strong verticals for an exciting trip over the water!
Good composition.

I've taken many a trip out on that pier:o) Old Orchard Beach the home of some of the best Lobster dinners I've had in my life! Thanks for the memories!

Hi Tom, it is different composed and it is very amazing with the waves, the downcomer light gives interesting reflections of it and it is very good modulated.

Nice one Tom, looks like a place I need to go and smell some salt air, and maybe this weekend. Color and detailare great as alwaus and I like the starkness of the beach in contrast to the detail on the pier.

Hello Tom,

Diagonal pier is very interesting for me with buildings on it after my favorite, very small Leonsberg pier. I like the lights and your excellent capture while adding powerful wave to the scene with its water grains. Great view, congratulations.

This except one was the photographer, who would other take this lovely picture.
The white wave with a lot sea foam and the wood pier in background care for a nice composition.

Hi Tom,
I like the way you framed the acute angle between the pier and wave; the detasil is greast as well, I love the fine spray blowing off the waves. The softer pastel colors of the sky and water cry winter beach to me. Nicely done.
