Misty morning or Alinade Photo

Photographer’s Note

A misty morning in a small harbour of Unites States (Maine) while travelling for business. Somehow, the jet lag is a big advantage to catch up the first sun rays. Instead of trying to sleep, I am now addicted to these morning walks prior to start working.
Here this little harbour was very often surrounded by fogs and mists even during the day.

Somehow, it looks like Charentes , no ???

Hi Geraldine,
Simple, almost minimalistic but perfect shot . Very nice compo and amazing soft colors. Great graphical effect.
As simple as a chinese ink painting but quite artisanal.

Salut Géraldine,
J'ai bien accroché sur la vignette mais en grand plusieurs détails me gênent: je trouve que ça manque un peu de contraste pour que cette jetée ressorte encore mieux et la netteté n'est pas au top. Par ailleurs, les deux coins, l'un très clair et l'autre très sombre, font une sorte de vignettage bizarre pas très élégant. Ceci étant dit, j'aime bien l'atmosphère générale qui ressort de ton image.

I can hear the foghorns looking at your image. Perfectly captured atmosphere, reflections and good idea for sepia treatment.

A beautiful mood here, Geraldine. The soft dreaminess of the background contrasts well with the rather industrial look of the foreground dock. The sepia tone is a good choice, to create a timeless feel. Regards, Ken.

Il se dégage une atmosphère très particulière de ta photo. C'est à la fois mystérieux, inquiétant et très beau. Il fallait penser à faire cette photo. Bien vu !
