hello shaeri

i like the glow. goes well with the wooden character of the bridge. i guess, i would have tried either to crop closer to the bridge (with what you ahve here) or try to step slightly to the right to show more of it and possiblly create stronger perspective. but that's me. :) as to the bridges: these are famous hallmarks of new england. there's great many of them (big and small) in vermont.

Hi Shaeri, I like the composition of this shot with this small bridge, and the fall colours are great with it, but I'm not a real fan of the softening effect. That doesn't make it wrong, there are obviously a lot out there who do like this, but in this case I'm just not one of them. If it was me, I'd have used the colours and gone for stronger contrasts, and shown off those leaves with the bridge.

nice shot with the use of blur environment to lead the eye of the vier to the wooden and covered bridge.In these situations ,i think that the better, is to begin in the background with 100% blur, and going to the foreground to stop in a very low numbers.In my mind the place in front of the entrance of the bridge would be without blur in order to show the scene more natural.

Beautiful little old bridge (one of my favourite subjects), great perspective and composition, wonderful warm colours. It seems that you have selected the rest of the image and applied some kind of blur, I am not sure, but the result is excellent and dreamy! Congratulations!

I am wondering what is the cause of the softness and blur? Ok, my question out of the way, the autumn color is actually very attractive to create a soft mood. Good covered crossing for a rest stop.

Nice idea to use the soft filter on the surroundings to highlight the covered bridge. I've seen pictures of quite a few covered bridges in US & remember the film "Bridges of Madison County" which also features such a bridge. Well done with the autumn colours all round.

Years ago I saw a film called The Bridges of Madison County (Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood)and that was the first time I knew covered bridges existed. I love the light and colours of the trees, but I am not so keen on the blur. The bridge itself is perfectly sharp and well composed in the frame.

very nice pov. The light is interesting too and the landscape around the bridge is very beautiful. I think sharpness isn't perfect but doesn't spoil the compo. I was thinking if a version in B&W could be interesting too

the composition with the covered briged as the main attraction and framed with the golden colours of the flora is perfect. What I particularly don't like and I think that I wrote that already in a previous critique is the artificial softness that you created in the PP. BUT, that is my personal preference or dislike. The image is still a good one!
