Wonderful fall colour here. The soft focus filter adds a nice creative touch although it does seem to be more out of focus on the right side. I'm not sure if the filter was on camera or in Photoshop. A wonderful image nontheless.

The autumn colours are beautiful and make a colourful background for the seat just waiting for someone to sit down. I'm not such a fan of the soft focus filter, but that's just a matter of personal taste. Well worth posting.

I wonder how a season that tends to be depressing is at the same time so prone to lovely images like this one. An empty garden bench in an Autumn scene... It's hard to imagine anything more melancholic, unless a softener filter is used.

hello Shaeri,
beautiful colours in this melancholic shot, and I like how you have composed the photo with the bench just off the center leaving enought space "for contemplation".
but I'm not sure about the filter, because the effect is visible only in the right part. I don't think the soft focus adds much to the shot right now, although I can easily imagine a different crop with soft focus surrounding the bench - I think that would work really well to create a dreamy mood.

The mood you have presented here is wonderful!!! However the focus to the right of the frame has been a bit too soft. I dont know wheteher you did it intentionally to give it a lyrical feel. Otherwise, its a successful composition in terms of color and feel.

A nice peaceful shot. But I don't think the soft focus filter added anything, especially because it is unevenly distributed. I think that next fall, you should try getting the soft effect by PP rather than filter; you'll have more control.

Hi Shaeri, very good fall colours and I like the composition you have on this one with the wood bench as the centre piece. I'm not sure if I would have gone for a soft filter on a shot like this. I think I would use one of those on a more symmetrical shot. The soft approach works well here on the right, but it lost to some degree with the leaves of the trees on the left.

the soft focus filter gave you an extra touch to it, although i have the admit that for me the colors only would already lead to a soft and dreamy effect. Those colors are really stunning. The bench is inviting to sit on and enjoying the view...wonderful picture.

personally I'm not a fan of this type of filters, but everyone has a different taste and that is good. The typical autumnal colors give a strong view.
