| Another posting from my second trip to the village of abandoned cottages in Stratford, CT, USA. This particular shot is basically a second attempt at a shot I posted a few months ago. My technical skills have increased since then, though they are still not that great. I managed to keep the foreground in focus this time and created a more pleasing composition than the original. I wanted to attempt this shot again before the cottages are razed. The town is in the process of selling the land to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. After ten years of being abandoned it looks like something is actually going to be done to the site. Personally, I like the abandoned cottages just how they are and sort of wish they would remain that way ....hundreds of years from now, it could be an archeological site...oh well.... |
