Photographer’s Note
I took this photo at my school (Oliver Wolcott Tech) in the field. I thought the "bald" tree in the middle gave the picture a neat effect. What do you think?

Interesting shot. I really like the idea you were going for here, the bald tree among those in full leaf. I'm not sure it comes across as well as it could, though, in this format. I see a lack of contrast and definition. As much as I apreciate the concept, nothing pulls my eye in for a closer look.
I tried for a vertical crop, showing less of the trees on the side, but was unhappy with the result. All I can think is that perhaps a different time of day might have made the difference; maybe catching the sky in a more contrasting colour, or even the sun behind one of the central tree's branches might have done it.
Still, the concept is good. Seeing these shots is the foundation of all good photography. Keep up the good work!

nice picture, i like it. but i think u could crop off a little at the top just to bring the focus down to the tree more.
