Hi Angela, I have a woods near me (in Canada) which looks almost identical to this one. I love going in there for a walk and to take shots. This reminds me of that one so much. Your shot is excellent. The composition works well with the rocks on the right side slope and trees throughout the rest of the shot. The meandering path that you took to get to this point shows up well with the textures found in it. The exposure on the snow is perfect bringing out great texture here as well as in the rocks and trees. Your exposure range is good throughout with full detail seen in both the highlight and shadow regions of the shot. Colours are very good and your sharpening is bang on. Enjoyed!

Lovely winter scene with extraordinary light that brings out gentle shadows on the snow that contrast so effectilvey with the late winter green moss. Very nice depth to this enchanting walk in the winter woods.

Hi Angela. A beautifully crisp and excellently exposed scene. Although it's picture perfect, for me, it lacks a true focal point to tie all the elements together - perhaps some kids having a snowball fight or just a couple walking. The footprints allow you to make a story. Is that someone following or is the viewer stalking? Really nice photo. Regards, Paul.

Nice winter image, nothing special happening there but you have very good highlights on the snow and this is enough for the photo to deliver a pleasant impression.

Hi Angela,

A fine image, the saturation is rich and the contrasts are well developed. The range of tone between the immaculate snow and dark rock is visually spectacular. I like the way some of the mossy rock is illuminated by direct light which gives a hint of green on the edges. The pale blue sky behind the trees outlines the trunks and branches very well. That clump of snow near the top right of the image almost takes on the appearance of a small person peering past the tree, if your imagination stretches that far that is....

A really beautiful winter's scene with great light making its way through the trees to reflect of the snow. The composition is most pleasing. Nice one.

This one is a magnificent composition, with a lot of harmony in its lighting, a good game of light and shadows on this beautiful landscape in the forest, covered with snow, and a great quality of image and of colors.
The setting and the organization of the elements are very well realized, I think that is a great photo, I like much.
