A red house at the greenwich audubon center in Greenwich Connecticut.

The Audubon Center in Greenwich opened in 1942 as the National Audubon Society’s first environmental education center in the United States on land donated by Eleanor Clovis Reese and H. Hall Clovis. The 295-acre sanctuary has approximately seven miles of trails that lead to a hardwood forest, old fields, lake, streams and vernal ponds. Reminders of the past are the stone walls, an old apple orchard and original New England homestead buildings. The entrance to the sanctuary is at the corner of Riversville Road and John Street.

Hi Angela,
You've composed it nicely and presented this winter scene very nicely.
Nice colors, sharp and excellent clarity.

Hi Angela,
You took this extremely well. I'll tell you what attracts me most here: the red color of the house stands out in the snow, I also like the branch that frames this shot too.
Well done.
Regards,
Shaeri

Hi Angela, this is a tough shot. You had the dark red on the house against the white snow, enough to give any photo meter nightmares. The shadow and dark areas you've handled very well. The snow, is a little over exposed, still it provides a good contrast against the house. Composition wise I like that tree. The positioning is good, forming a natural frame on the right side of your shot (and over the top) and supported in blocking the sky on that side somewhat by that Spruce. I also like the perspectives, given a shot like this, facing up hill you would normally end up with a trapezoidal effect on the house but it's pretty straight. Top side of the shot, I would have preferred a little more space over the roof. You've nicely wrapped this up in a neutral frame that ties in well with your tree and the stairs on the left of the house.

Thanks, John

Hi Angela,
I hope you forgive me my honesty, but I don't find the place so pretty, although it isn't ugly either. That doesn't mean that I don't like the photo. As a matter of fact, I find remarkable how you achieve making a catchy image with such a subject, you really have a special talent for composing. The tree and its dramatic branches make an interesting "dialogue" with the geometric shapes of the house. The spatial arrangement is very thoughtful.
COngratulations.
Regards, José.

Hi Angela.

The point of view is very pleasant and determines a good composition, tones contrasted well, especially between red and white. There is a small detail that perhaps would have been correct, and it's the little room that he has left the top of the house in the frame. However, it is a nice job.

John
