Beverly Lake (Cook County Forest Preserve) is located on Higgins Rd.going west just past Beverly Rd. it is an approx. 50acre lake
fishing is allowed the lake is not restocked by Cook County Forest Preserve but it contains many species of fish.
The lake is surrounded by marshes and woodland, I discovered a pair Red-bellied Woodpeckers further up on the trail. Also species of diffrent kind of Turtles, Bullfrogs, other frogs and many species of dragonflies.
Trails are usuable for hiking, cross-country skiing or just for a stroll. |
