Cuba Marsh:
Approx. 800acre preserve located in Lake County Lake County Forest Preserve
Entrance of Cuba Road near Ela Road (Deer Park and Barrington).
Here you will find forest, marsh, savannah and prairie all in one place
Beautiful place overall, loved the lakeside with it’s variety of water birds such as:
Bitterns, Cormorants, Wood Duck, Mallards, Egrets, Kingfisher, American Coot, Seagulls and the so abundant Canadian Geese and also several species of Herons.
A family of Mute Swans 2 adults with 4 of their young swans, they where a joy to watch the seeing them swimming across the lake.
Also a lot of marshland birds can be found here: Swallows, Red-winged Blackbird, Warblers, Marsh Wrens and not to forget the sighting of soaring Turkey Vultures within the nearby forest.

Hallo Gerda!
Ich dachte zuerst, dies sei die Sieg! ;-))
Nodda!
