Hello, Larry.

First, Welcome to TE!

And a very fine picture indeed for your first posting.

The early morning sun has given fabulous lighting - especially to that wooden building and also the grass.

The textures and hues of the grass are fantastic.

Some might argue that the sky is a bit on the pale side but I think it has a lovely pikish tinge and I don't think it's overly bright either.

Hi Larry,
I take it you are fairly new member on TE. Welcome. I really like this very rural shot - those windmills always catch my eye. I think the image is abit dark and dull although the composition is excellent. I did a workshop to brighten things abit and add some details subdued in your shot. Well done and lets see lots more. I remember my trips through US states and I was always looking for such icon -- let's say typicall for USA. Cheers!

That's nice to get the opportunity to enjoy some rural USA views, early morning gave you a nice timing in terms of light potential and Gerald enhanced it well in his WS, nice image that features interesting elements.

Indeed, the early morning sun gives the photo a wonderfully calm and beautiful mood. I really like the composition with the windmill contrasting so nicely with the bright sky. The soft light hitting the barn and the tops of the grass is amazing. This photo really captures the heartland of America. I really like it a lot. Nice work, and welcome to Trekearth.

This is a really beautiful scene!! Very nice composition. I like how the lighting is hitting the building. Geralds workshop is good as it brightens it up alot, but still a very good picture!! TFS and have a great day !

I did a few typos in my comment. Just making some modifying to it.

Absolute a down to earth kind of beauty, like a painting of the old west scenery that evoke a sense of nostalgic Very nice morning atmosphere. Every time I’ve driven by some old farm on the country road or highway I've always looked for such a scene to photograph, so far I have not been successful yet, so thanks Larry for sharing this beautiful image.
