Ephraim Sunset with Ice Cream Photo

Photographer’s Note

If you go to Door County in the summer time a trip to Wilson's in Ephraim for ice cream is usually on the agenda. We were nearing the end of our week when we finally got our cones. The sun was setting over the bay toward Peninsula State Park and I spotted this family enjoying their ice scream. This picture is a real contrast with earlier in the week when a strong northwest wind was kicking up some waves.

I like the composition, the three figures in silhouette stand out prominently against the background. Nice soft tones in the sky which are reflected on the surface of the water. Well captured.
