Given the title you picked, it would have been more dramatic if you had cropped out the other trees on the left, and the line of shadow on that same side.

Welcome to TE. I had no idea that any parts of Wisconsin had a shoreline like this! Very nice composition you saw here. I agree with Mark about cropping the tree on the left. You might have panned slightly right and cropped the trees while at the same time including more of that great rock in the foreground on the right. Perhaps more important for landscape opportunities like this would be to seek out warmer light. You'll find that the closer to sunrise and sunset you get the more interesting the light will be for you. I'm not sure what the capabilities of your EasyShare are but you might also try whatever setting gives you the narrowest aperture (up to f/4). Perhaps try the 'Landscape' setting.
