[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Clarence H. "Ginger" Beaumont was the first batter in the first modern era Major League Baseball Word Series (1903). He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and was their lead-off hitter in the 9-gamer series against the Boston Americans (Red Sox). The Americans eventually went on to win the series.

Ginger Beaumont is buried in the community cemetery in Rochester, Wisconsin, a farming community southwest of Milwaukee.

Good historical intro. You could have improved the photo by standing directly over it and "squaring" it in the frame or maybe lying down and focasing on a plane
