Four to Say Farewell
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
After the casting of the wreath, a group of Legionnaires fired a series of three quick rifle salutes over the bridge and above the wreath as it floated away. Here they stand at the ready between rounds.
The sound of gunfire is an extreme rarity in the village, which forbids discharge of firearms within its boundaries. Only on special occasions such as this -- and then only by permit -- is the use of weapons allowed. (By the way, the gentleman on the right side of the frame does not have six or more fingers on his left hand -- those are spare bullets he is holding between his fingers.) |

Hi Jim,
Nice composition. The way the old men stand, ... proud, (the second one from the left actually has a bored look, which makes the photo evedn more attractive.)the expression on their faces is very nice. Nice perspective.
I wish you a nice week. Best regards. Salvator.
