Photographer’s Note
Last week I was installing our software at a new client site: Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin. This is the pilot house at Discovery World. I used my friend's Canon EOS 20D, something new and exciting!
In this shot we're about 80 feet up, looking south over Milwaukee. Lake Michigan is to our left and we're right on the edge of it. I got a few nice images from that trip, so I'll probably post a couple more to give you a better feel for the area.
As you can see, we got really lucky with the lighting that evening. I intentionally left the picture uncropped and un-enhanced. This is exactly as taken, just reduced for TE publication.
The lighted clock you see in the background is, I am told, the world's largest 4-faced clock.
If you even find yourself in Milwaukee, take a trip to Discovery World, www.discoveryworld.org. It is well worth the visit, and make sure to budget several hours. It's a new facility, and they have aquariums, shows, and technology exhibits that will truly blow your mind.

A good one, very intensive and dramatic. Great colour in the backgorund and nice structure in the POV.

Hi Rachel,
I am impressed by the architecture skeleton with the setting sky, clouds, in varying curve forms.
good job,
Ray
PS: minor suggestion , I would have cropped out the bottom dark area?

I realy like the organic lines of the building at the fg and the clouds are amazing. Very intersting. I think that croping the lowerpart could also make an interesting composition. I did a WS on it to show what i mean. Hope you don't mind.
Best regards

Ciao dear Rachel,
this image is surely one of yours best. The interesting modern lines of the structure of the ship oppose well with the marvelously dramatic sky, almost three-dimensional. The slhouette of the city, with the lights very well captured, complete an intense composition rich of details. Excellent the photographic quality. My most sincere compliments! BRAVA!
Ciao have a nice Sunday!
Paolo
