Photographer’s Note
Just a short walk from Eighteen Foot Falls is Twelve Foot Falls. Throughout my waterfalling trek of the county that day, I visited parks where people where often on hand to enjoy the beauty of the places as well as rugged spots where I spent some tranquil moments alone in wilderness.
I chose to show this fellow because he not only gives a sense of scale of the falls, but he also illustrates that these parks are enjoyed, as they are meant to be. I suspect he's after trout in the river. There are couple of cues that this is Wisconsin: 1) He's dressed for cool, wet weather, even though it is mid-May and 2) His winter cap has the familiar green and gold colors of the Green Bay Packers

Hello Jim,
The force of the cascading water as it gives a great boost to the scene. A very unique place that has chosen the fisherman to fish.
Excellent light and perspective.
Good weekend.
Greetings,
Charo
