hi Alyssa
Welcome to TE community. Your post entry of this photo marks a new era of your photography sharing here to improve your work and it is a good start by showing a photo of side view of rock formation from island. Try to write a good note.
One thing is obvious - the photo size can be much larger to give better quality and to do this, get some software from links given below.
Perhaps when you have time, it will be useful to you to read FAQ, ABOUT and Guidelines regarding particularly on 800pixel and 300kb filesize limits. You will also start to use EDIT software to help you present photos here. I have some links here that you can download and use for a simple start.
For composition and some useful info, please click this link.
From your post entry, I can see you have a snap shot very interesting rock formation of such a strong color and capturing it with straight style from a boat ride. Perhaps you can use a bit of adjustment of brightness level, sharpening tool after resize and before upload, save the file to 800pixel max long side. But this a nice shot.
You will definitely be able to improve this presentation by
.resize to 800pixel and 300kb from original photo
.adjust some tone and contrast and sharpen
.write a little more interesting note about this photo
.input the equipment/camera info you used
With more information and note, we will understand what/how/why you shoot this and able to give you better, more specific comments.
Hope to see more shooting and posting from you.
Greetings from Borneo.
tfs, bill
