Photographer’s Note
Today, for this post, I am going to fast forward to my favorite image of a long and lovely day touring the waterfalls of Marinette County.
This post comes from Long Slide Falls, a hidden gem. I hiked to the upper portion first, liked it immensely, but wished I could see the full downward sweep of the falls.
Then I found a thread of a path and it wended downward to this spot. I sat gingerly, eagerly on a rock right at the foot of the torrent, and began to shoot. The result you see here. Only PP is cropping, sizing, and a little sharpening.
It's a bit amazing, after five years of sporadic posts, to be at this point. Hope you all enjoy! I have. I'm glad for the opportunity and stimulation that TE has afforded me to learn more about photography and to work to improve the stories I get to tell with my camera. I'm grateful for this community of encouragement.

Allô Jim!
Magnifique photo et très jolies cascades, le courant d''eau est bien rendu par la bonne exposition. Jolis rochers et beau contraste de couleurs.
Félicitations!... et bonne fin de soirée,
Emilius

Dag Jim,
A well chosen number 100. It must be fascinating to walk in this nature.

Hi Jim,
Looks like a dynamic location with the torrent of water crashing through the narrow cataraic of shear rock.
I'm just back from a 2 week vacation in Maine.
Regards, Tom
