Photographer’s Note
If you have seen my photos, you know I'm a Fighting Illini fan. I followed the team away to Madison against the Wisconsin Badgers in Camp Stadium. This was the Badgers homecoming game and they defeated Illinois 27-17.
The weather was cloudy and cold-we were lucky it didn't rain during the game.
Camp Randall is a stadium with an awesome atmosphere, great history and tradition.
------------------------
The stadium seats 80,321. It is the oldest and fourth largest stadium in the Big Ten Conference, and the 42nd largest stadium in the world.
The stadium received its name because it lies on the grounds of Camp Randall, a former Union Army training camp during the American Civil War. The camp was named after Governor Alexander Randall, who was also a United States Postmaster General.

A nice sweep of stadium caught up in Madtown, Bill. You captured the field, the stadium, and yesterday's weather conditions quite well -- now all we need is a close-up of someone bundled up against that brisk October wind that felt more like November :)
Technically, details are clear, lighting and exposure are good in somewhat challenging conditions, and I think you probably showed as much of the stadium as you reasonably could from that point of view, absent a special lens.

Jim

Hello Bill,
Go Badgers! What a good capture of a full stadium for the homecoming game. Earlier this fall I took a very similar picture of FedEx Field just outside Washington, DC. Football is a great fall sport.
Kind regards,
Betty

Nice shot Bill! I happen to be a Badger fan and have photos of Wisc vs Penn State from the late 90s. I'll see if I can find them and scan.

Bill,
This is an excellent shot of this grand old stadium. It looks like it has been upgraded into a fairly modern stadium. Your composition is great showing the scene from the corner of the field creating a nice angle to gives the shot depth and direction. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail.
TFS,
Asa
