Photographer’s Note
The Memorial Union Terrace is Madison's favorite summertime leisure spot. The beloved Sunburst chairs in orange, green and yellow are a memorable site along the shore of Lake Mendota.
History shows that the Union lakefront area was once a place that the Winnebago tribe used as an important gathering spot – a role that the Terrace continues to play today.
