Another capture from my warm Sunday afternoon bike trek last week. Although I've been to the park (one of the city's newest) several times, I was really pleased with the color and perspective of this day and this moment.
Again, I was spot metering the light to try to make the most of the color and trying to tweak the shutter to freeze the movement of the water over the dam here on the Fox River. Given the aperture, even the shutter of 1/79 seemed to do the trick. |

Hi Jim,
Lovely colours of autumn....something I do miss over here as autumn is very abrupt. Good handling of the light as you had quite a bit of contrast with the bright bubbly water.I may have just dropped to one knee to open the angle a bit under the foreground tree so as to have a clearer view of the dam and the beautiful surrounding trees.Sharpness and detail spot-on.....well done.
Regards, David
Hi Jim,
Your camera presents images on a very interesting format. Or is this the way you crop them? Anyway, I like how you have used the color changing leaves to frame the water dam and create a parallel line with the tress on the background. Though light you had here.
TFS,
E

Hi Jim,
Beautiful slow exposure shot of the milky white waters of the Fox flowing gently over the old dam while the whole scene is wonderfully framed by the lovely autumn colors.
Regards, Tom

Bonjour Jim,
Best regards.
Daniel.
