I had to laugh at the whimsical thought of this poor, little gold flower showing up at the party with the wrong colors :)

And on the more serious side, I was struck by the beauty of a meadow full of these along the Apple Creek Trail. Apple Creek is a priority watershed here in Wisconsin, which means state and local governments have invested extra effort in preserving its environment. This nearby meadow is one of the program's fine results.

Hi Jim, excellent title. The contrast with the yellow flower really sets this one apart. Without it though you still have a great capture of these purple ones. The lighting and resulting colour and detail are very good. I'm actually surprised you got the depth of field you did with a f3.0, but it looks great.

Thanks, John

Hah...great title and interpretation of the photo. Great composition and color also. A little "flat" maybe but still a great photo, this shot is more about the composition than having perfect color. Good eye to catch this one.

Nice work.
John

Hi Jim,

a truly beautiful close-up of excellent depth. The title is funny and very lovely! Well seen!

Hi Jim!
Very good composition, I like it. Good idea to include the little yellow flower. I like the note also.

Hi Jim,

Una imagen interesante, sencilla pero bella, una flor amarilla entra todas las demás, me gusta la composición que has creado y la perspectiva que has elegido. Gracias por compartirla.

Saludos
José

Very funny Jim. It takes a good eye to notice a detail like this. I bet the whole field of flowers was a beautiful sight too.

Agree with all comments below... Perfect title

Hi Jim
Excellent presentation of the pink flower bed creating a nice pattern and the bright yellow one giving a nice touch of color. Good color contrast and framing.
Cheers
Marilyn

I'm really impressed by this lovely lavender field and your brilliant title make me laugh, it figured how the small yellow flower confuses in the lavender's comunity. I did a simple ws just for compliment, hope you like my version. Thanks Jim...
