Photographer’s Note

Our local trail system wends through a network of ponds, paths, and park benches. Even in the height of winter here, it's not uncommon to see one or two from a gaggle of Canada goose that make northeast Wisconsin their year-round home.

Hello Jim,
In a good photograph you can virtually smell the odors and hear the sound of the scene. In your shot of the pond in Atherton I can feel the penetrating, numbing cold. Nicely composed and exposed. Regards from Virginia which is also cold today (although in Wisconsin you might regard it as tepid),

Well composed image with trees and bench captured during a peaceful winter sunset. You can feel the bitter cold in the picture with the blanket of snow. Nice. TFS.
