[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Very old image shot on film camera in the summer of '86. Given up on this image but today I had worked on it again. I'm quite pleased with the result. I had cleaned up the many fungal spots in the sky & on road but didn't do much removal of the fungal stains on the rock because I think they blended in quite well. Another difficult part of this project was to bring back the colors which had gone haywire from scanning.

This is the view of one of the four Presidents of the US carved out of the rock cliff of Mount Rushmore. Saw this profile from the road after leaving the platform where you could view all the four Presidents.

Assalammualaikum Latiff,
I would probably be seeing the same thing you did if I had gone then in 86.

It's always a good idea to leave something that you can't do much now until the time when you could. I have a few photos that were just too much of a rogue years ago but now, just about anything CS2 or CS3 can fix.

As with your Mt. Rushmore. Personal opinion, I would rather go without those tourists in the shot. Imagine the lonely stretch of road going into the bend. A feel of desolation on a granite proportion but on a bright day.

Hi Latiff,
Excellent shot of this famous monument. You really did a great job scanning this photo. I've scanned thousands of pictures but never was able to get such a result. I really like the POV. I've visited this area in 2002 but never saw WASHINGTON from this angle.
