Across the midwest

I traveled across three states before the weather broke enough for me to capture this "typical" farm. I honestly had driven through 10 hours of scenes similar to this before the sun came out and the rain quit. I never paid any attention before to the fact that there is so much farm land in this part of the US. I used to take it for granted, both in it's beauty and its value as an agricultural resource.
I have posted this shot because it is a kind of beauty that we don't travel specifically to see. I was on my way to Niagara Falls but in some ways these vast plains of crop lands are at least as impressive; they are just not so "in-your-face" like Niagara or the Rocky Mountains.
No ws today but the next couple of days are already captured so if there is internet in the evenings I will continue to post shots of these travels. |

Hi Greg,
Beautiful capture of the typical midwestern farm. Like most farms nowadays it looks like a very big operation that has replaced many of those old weather beaten orphan barns. Beautiful lush green leads up to the white farmstead which is make a lovely color contrast with.
Regards, Tom

You are right! These scenes do have their very own beauty. This land is much like Saskatchewan (flat as a table). Great colors Greg and this makes me think of the hard work going into this operation. TFS
Hello Greg,
I thought a few seconds of still seeing the Kennedy Space Center, but they are only grain silos. Beautiful image of American agriculture. Beautiful colors and good realization.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.
Joel
I'm totally leaning towards calling it a Classic Midwestern Shot, Greg.
You thoroughly nailed the atmosphere, for openers.
Excellent POV, color and clarity follow up.
It feels like one is sitting in a Greyhound bus looking out of the window.
Great effort and great note.
See you soon,
Fulvio.
