| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| It was a numbingly cold day at Chagrin Falls, near Cleveland, Ohio, but not quite as cold as the title, “Minus Forty,” actually indicates. At this number (-40) the two temperature scales — Celsius and Fahrenheit —are equal, and it is unnecessary to specify the scale. I shot the picture years ago on Kodachrome-25 film, using a manual Nikon F, and only recently had the slide scanned. |

Intresting shot with some kind of contrast between the water of the fall in motion ( and warmer ) and the water of the rest of the place in perfect pause ( and colder ). Intresting note.

Hi Bülent,
Rigorous winter this year 78 in Cleveland. I think that they are temperatures hard to bear. These cold water falls with half are very beautiful and that gives a pretty graphics to the image, true sculptures. Beautiful management of the light and the scanerisation. cheer Bülent and thank you for the comment.

I remember that Winter, and it felt like -40, and the subject reflects that experience nicely. The great variety of lines in, both sharp in the frozen water, and the soft in the veiled flowing waters is wonderful. Well done.
