Still a pretty good shot by mmost standards. Wow, just followed your link, you've really seen a lot of the US, and yes, your scanner works fine. Tookme a long time to find a reasonable one, what did you buy?

Hi Norbert
I like the low angle & perspective approaching the bridge. Good sharpness color & lighting. Congratulations & Happy New Year!

These big bridges have a charm, some kind of reminiscence of the industrial ere in US.
I like the way you choose to catch, this POV is excellent and the composition offers a very nice view from the bridge and the background of modern building.
Great and full of creativity.
I like it

Warm Regards,

Hi Norbert,
I think your scanner is very good, is this photo negative or dia positive, this is a very great different, but generally absolutely not bad, also the colour and sharpness are very well.
Nice composition.
Best regards,
John

Hi Nobert,
I read your guidelines and you did well to make two in one post opportunity to test your not recent work and pictures. I have also a EPSON Perfection 2580 Photo from one year and my first pictures at TE from Austria, Belgium and German where scanned by a similar Epson scanner of a friend of mine but the result is better with this new one. I made the scan images with this Epson to print paper pictures taht I took with the option of Unsharp mask and with resolution above 300DPI. I think theat slides and negatives are worst to male the scaning
I like your perspective in this great capture. Your Map View is absolutely correct and this post is very good and well done.
A good experience and test and my votes of a happy ending 2005 and a really better 2006 year.
The best to you and your family.

Hi Norbert,
Very good photo! It looks typical American - big highway, skyscrapers. The lines are very nice and give the photo a good depth. The sky is dramatic and beautiful.
There is something strange with the sharpness, some parts are very sharp, others are a bit soft, but I gues that happened during the scanning and the filtering in NeatImage.
Happy New Year!
Regards,
Stef

Norbert, very nice picture. Nice interpretation that composed the point of view and the elements too.
I like the exposition and also the soft tones of the sky.
Have a nice day

This looks pretty good for a scan - I don't think I would have been able to tell if you hadn't said anything. The location and the central figure of the bridge makes this interesting, but as you've said, you've done much better photos!

Hello Norbert! Very nice composition. I like the point of view, it looks like we are inside the car. There is some expectation feeling of arriving at the “big city”. The bridge adds a nice central point. Thanks for sharing, Gabriel. P.S. Happy new year!

Hi Norbert. Hmm I agree this isn't your best shot ever. :) I've got shots on this par from New Orleans and New Jersey that I've been reluctant to upload. I might have run an Auto Color in Photoshop to remove the light green or cyan cast. Nice shot from Ohio Norbert!

Bonjour Norbert,
Best regards. Friendly.
Daniel.
There are some nice entrances into Cleveland, which I still call "The mistake by the lake". :) This offers us one of those entrances into the city and the skyline of new and old there. The old bridge, majestic and the towering skyline, is so typical of our aging rust belt cities. Big and bold and at one time energetic but now mostly empty, sadly. But they do have something starting in Cleveland, despite the numerous problems that still persist so perhaps the cleanness of this shot signals at hopes of a brighter future for Cleveland and the other aging cities, mine included.
And I can't let it go but we all know Detroit is still "Rock City". Cleveland's connection to rock is dubious at best and they only snatched it from us due to offers of better tax breaks.
Oh, and next time you're in this area you have to come up to Detroit. We have a museum I think you'll find interesting, The Henry Ford Museum, which I call largest collection of Americana anywhere.

This is an interesting shot, Norbert. I like the contrasting elements of old and new, and iron and concrete. You did a good job here with the scanned negative - and the sky really adds life to the composition. Interesting note. Well seen and framed.
