Cedar Falls

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is Cedar Falls found in Hocking Hills State Park. The Hocking Hills is one of the most beautiful place I've ever been to. It has caves deep gorges, and countless waterfalls. Apparently I am the only one at TE who has been there or at least taken pictures. If anyone is in Ohio I would recommen visiting this place. This is the website. I tried using longer exposures for this waterfall, but it was too hard because the sun was always shining on it (even though it's not in this pic) and that made everything over-exposed. Most of the time, there is more water in this 50 foot waterfall, but this was taken in one of the drier seasons. I took this close to the ground so it shows the water like this. I increased the midtones and saturation a tiny bit. Thanks for looking. |

Emilius
Kevin,
I like this shot. The waterfall is very interesting with the split right in the middle. The colors are great too. Your perspective makes the waterfall look a lot taller than it actually is. Nicely seen and captured,
Brian

Hi Kevin
You done justice to this unique waterfall. The colors are great and the lazy summer flow with the green that will be gone soon
Regards
Tom
Kevin, to get the long exposure without overexposing, try getting to the location early in the morning. I usually get to Hocking Hills to shoot at about 7:00am or 7:30am. It makes it easier to get the veiled water shots and there aren't many people around either.
