Photographer’s Note
There are four of these eagles on he sides of the base of a flagpole. There is no date on this flagpole, but I think it was originally erected in 1925. The pole itself has been replaced recently, but the base with this eagle is original. The park is now called the Island Metro Park and now has a bicycle path going through it towards downtown Dayton along the Great Miami River. I ride this almost everyday, so I have many views from the bike path.
