Photographer’s Note
This flagpole was right behind me when I took my previous submission of the Island Park Bridge. The date on the bridge is 1925. There is no date on the flagpole, but I think it was originally erected at the same time as the bridge. The pole itself has been replaced recently, but the base with these rams (and eagles that I will upload next) are original. The park is now called the Island Metro Park and now has a bicycle path going through it towards downtown Dayton along the Great Miami River. I ride this almost everyday, so I have many views from the bike path.
