Photographer’s Note

This is another picture in a series of the Island Park Bridge in Dayton. I ride my bicycle past this bridge almost everyday. I normally don't ride with my camera, but I always am on the lookout for pictures to capture on another day. I noticed that if the sky was clear and sunny at 9:00AM until about 9:30AM, that the undersides of the bridge were wonderfully lit by the sun reflecting on the water. The light changes dramatically depending on the wind conditions. On this morning the water was very still and flat as there was almost no wind.

I am trying to relearn how to take pictures following my fatal brain injury last year. Studying your subject at different times of day and even year was a key to Ansel Adams capturing such dynamic images. Decisive Moments are not always spontanious.
