I went to Southern Park Mall in Boardman for some Holiday shopping last Friday. There was this train, right outside JC Penney's, where it has been set up for the last ten Holiday seasons or more. For a small fee, little ones ride around the tracks a few times while their parents check shopping lists. At the end of the ride, some get off and some beg their parents for one more ride. There was a time when we could not walk past this train without participating in this holiday ritual. But kids grow up and plastic trains going at a snail's pace for a few minutes no longer counts as an adventure.

When I see so amazing toys I want to be a child again. I can imagine the children emotions, good presentation of the celebrating. Is it a foam or cotton?

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see christmas gifts and Toy train for kids in department store. It looks like the exciting decoration inside it. The whole is balaced well by a good arrangement and fine color combination.

Fine view of the "kiddie train" in the Xmas setting combining holiday decorations with commercial shopping.
And it is true that kids grow up and no longer enjoy these minor small operations. I was fortunate to grow up and trade in my toy train hobby for big train operations especially designing and constructing track lines and rail stations in California.
Have a wonderful Holiday season,
PS: The rock tower in Cathedral Gorge, Nevada was built by the C.C.C. The Civilian Conservation Corp was created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to create jobs during the 1930s Great Depression. Similar to the popular tower near the Grand Canyon South Rim visitor center, the architecture is a blend of European medieval towers and American southwest style. The CCC built many structures in The West to blend into their natural surroundings rather than repeating modern styles.

Nice view of this kid's train amidst foam, Christmas decorations and busy shoppers. Good portrayal of the jovial mood reflecting the festive spirit.

a lovely picture and an interesting note. Your composition is very solid and has strong perspectives and depth. So, the multitude of details, colours and lights look neat and attractive in this busy frame. I enjoy very much the way the lighting variations affect the colours and the atmosphere. After reading your note, I see this photo as a silent dialogue between you and the little train that represents a happy memory of the recent past. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

Maybe intended for the children, but something tells me plenty of grown men would still have a fun time with these rides and toys! :) These have been some fun and festive displays and decoration you've provided, and justly so for the season at hand. They can't help but bring a feeling of joy and cheer...and this is certainly another fine example! Bright, colorful and well presented...putting the display on display. Nicely done! Have a great evening.

Your note is wonderful, as it brings to mind the cycles of life. Your young ones have passed the age for this folly, but it remains, just in the low phase of the cycle, and will rise again as they have children of their own. This is the joy and the melancholy of holiday celebrations, no?
As a foto, I love the POV, and chuckled slightly as I read your note and imagined you on the railroad tracks -- riding the plastic train is no longer an adventure, so let's tie dad to the tracks and see what happens!
Finally, that's really convincing "snow!" Whether it was as life-like in person, I cannot tell, but in the foto, it looks like the real thing!
