Dirty Power
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This coal burning power plant sits smack on the shore of Lake Erie, 25 miles or so west of Cleveland OHIO.
Although rumors of cancers & being on the list of the top 50 polluting power plants in the US, a spokesperson for the energy company was quoted in the article below,
"FirstEnergy spokeswoman Ellen Raines said utility companies pay little attention to such rankings."

Meanwhile I sit looking at this PC, AC cranking, thinking about brown outs & brown sky futures... |

Silhouettes in front of the hazy plant, nice combination, also the grain works very well in this dirty image, nice done, very industrial:-))
Almost an abstract shot here, close to being monochrome - it reminds me of Blake's "Dark Satanic Mills." Good on you, Ellen, future generations will thank you for your diplomacy. Haha.
Thanks for sharing

A powerful shot, alas. It's a thing to look away from the marvels of Power at work because it's so squalid and to show them (dull people) because it is so. Because of their indifference. I know I'm mixing pronouns, causes, effects. But I do resemble them in confusion and oblivion. Let's cheer up :-]
Fumes, as we French might say. F'
I really like the tone this shot has, nicely done.
