An environmental portrait of a prairie dog in the North Dakota Badlands at Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
I set up the camera on a miniature tripod and used a long remote cord to stay away from the hole. After about an hour of waiting in the summer heat, this little guy finally popped his head up to see what was going on.
