Photographer’s Note
A frost-covered tree stands all alone on the vast, snow-packed North Dakota prairie. The setting sun washed the scene in a beautiful soft pink light. Looks can be deceiving however; the outside temperature was about -5F/-20C. Fortunately, there was hardly any wind that day.
At first I was dissapointed with that band of haze near the horizon, but after my slides were developed, I saw that it actually picked up some of the pink light.

Really nice use of negative space. The colors are so nicely blended and smooth. Great shot!

Hello John,
Nice moody composition, I like the little tree in the cold that faces the big bue sky, even here without cloud.
Regards
Didier
