| One of the more absurd landmarks in the USA. New Salem sue is called "the worlds largest Hostein cow". its a 38 foot high 50 foot long statue, basically. erected in 1974 by the area's dairy farmers she was meant as a symbol,to promote the areas dairy industry. she stands on top of school hill and while its weird to be driving I-94 and seeing this monolith of tackiness look over the landscape. your curiosity for this oddity is rewarded with breathtaking views of the prairies and farms when you drive up the hill. |
