[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an example of how some of the old houses were built back in the 1800's. These were pretty impressive old structures that would stand up through even the most severe weather in this area. You can see the marks left in the logs from whatever means they used to cut the edges flat. Much time must have went in to constructing one of these houses given the technology of the day.

I really like this photo. Great detail in the wood grain and the black and white really makes the photo.

Great example of how a simple original idea can lead to the capture of a very striking image.
