Photographer’s Note
Not much to say here, there were some thick clouds covering much of the sky; the sun managed to find a hole to shine. I added an ND8 and a lens hood to calm the light as my fastest shutters would not cut it. The ND8 seems to have added much depth to the clouds in comparison to the one i took without it. It created an interesting atmosphere, reminded me of pictures taken of a black hole or something (only white). Rather simple shot, just metered my focus area as spot. Shot taken about 72mm.

Hi Kirk
This is an interesting and unusual shot. I think you did well to see and capture it. I also think the composition is quite effective with the sun towards the bottom left corner and the illuminated arms of the cloud reaching out into the black at the opposite side. Think you've exposed this difficult subject very well.
