Photographer’s Note

...."Winter Scene - II"....

Taken North of our home. My goal was to capture the painted effect of the snow right down to the waters edge on both sides of the creek. The frost - reflections - fog and slowing rising sun were a bonus.

Very well done Larry. I can almost feel the chill while looking at your photo. I like your composition and the really good details you got in this shot. The reflection on the water right up to the icy edges is a good capture.

Hello Larry, I am enjoying this series of winter pictures;they would make excellent cards for Christmas[?]
A good PoV with the stream leading our eyes through the shot.The trees covered in snow/frost give the scene a dreamy feel.
I wish I could have been there to take some shots of this beautiful area.

very impressive Winter scene with the water of the creek to be semi frozen.The leafless trees are nice snowy strokes of the scene.Really the reflections on the surface of the water are a bonus in the scene.Well done.

cette dominante un peu bleutée rend bien l'ambiance froide de l'hiver dans cette photo intime de cette petite rivière.Une très bonne gestion de lumières assez difficiles à maitriser.

Another really beautiful winter scene, very moody with the blue tone, it's a little bit on the low contrasting side, but that may just be the real condition, cause it look darn cold, so I won't pick on that. I'm just glade your out there taking this image and not me :) Stay warm at least now it's spring, Happy Easter.

Hi Larry,
Blue hour light gives even chillier feeling. Frost always looks nice both on trees and hay. This is a good viewpoint showing the curve of the stream.

This looks like freezing cold but not so much snow since this is early December!
A well composed presentation of the winter mood, with the bending stream as a main element...
The blue tones are typical for this time of day and year, well framed with a good feeling of depth!

A scene that remind me of a typical winter day in Minnesota where I spent my four years of college life. I miss the beauty of winter but not the cold short days. The frost looks nice here and so the snow dusted ground and partially frozen stream. Regards. Latiff.

A simple but pretty effective composition!
Sharpness is pretty adequate to the image! The exposure was perfect for this kind of picture! A truly beautiful winter picture... brrrrr I can even feel how cold it was!!! Good I love it - the wintertime!

Hi Larry,
As a painting. Excellent capture in which you have caught the winter atmosphere in this landscape, and in that almost we can feel the cold.
The bluish tones and the tenuous luminosity give a fantastic appearance to the image.
