Photographer’s Note
"Old Main" is the first building to reside on the Nebraska Wesleyan University campus. This building dates back the late 1880's. Other buildings on campus have come and gone but this one has remained. This is in the University Place which had been it's own separate town until Lincoln pretty much grew into this and other small towns in the early 1900's. The building shows some wear, and if you look real close, you can see where the bell used to be at the top of the building, which is now covered with brick. I have a love for architechture dating back to this era and wanted to share with you one of the ones still standing.
The flag is flying at half mass due to the passing of Pope John Paul II.
