I really liked the mood that the fog and mist gives to

hi larry, love the view of the horses nice to see someone else gets fog and not just us on the coast in the U.K. my only comment is as jhm says about the half a horse better cropping or cloning it out altogether would be a lot better

What a lovely peaceful rural scene. The horses look so relaxed and peaceful and I like the thin mist about the nearer trees and the much "deeper" mist over the distant trees - it gives a great feeling of depth.

belle photo de cette horde de chevaux petits et grands.
bien beau cet ensemble de chevaux, merci du partage.
Jolies couleurs naturelles, douces et beau fond brumeux.

Nicely done. There is a softness to this shot which helps create the mood. The horses seem unaware of your presence which always adds to the serenity.

Indeed foggy and misty care for a nice picture, I find a misty image always a little bit spooky, certainly when animals walk in the fog. This are very lovely horses, gray, brown and dark gray this are lovely colours.
One advice my friend, try never a animal half to place, crop you picture little bit to the left. Thank for sharing.
I would show with a WS.

Good Tuesday morning Larry,
You chose a good time (early morning) to go for a ride and take pictures. The early morning fog provides good ambiance to the tranquil scene. The horses are effectively positioned in your frame. John's WS is effective in isolating the herd.
I noticed that you did not check tripod in the photo info. Composition wise, I wonder how it would look if you used an exposure setting higher than f5.6 (which will likely require a tripod) and completely include just one tree. My mind wonders with all these possibilities but this suggestion may not necessarily result in a better pic.
It is a good posting Larry.

pas mal ces cheveux de plusieurs couleurs qui ressortent bien sur ces verts pâlis pas la légère brume. Une brume qui d'ailleurs me plait bien ici pour fermer le paysage et créer une ambiance très calme.

A very nice and atmospheric photo. Good countryside feeling. I like the green & the brown. The mist in the back is wonderful. Regards. Latiff.

I agree the foggy atmosphere is very special here, it give it that mystic feel and coolness. This scene is very charming, I like the overall of the landscape, I also agree with the workshop if you like the viewer to focus more on the horse rather than the overall landscape. I know the land is sloping but it does not hurt to adjust by rotating the image a little to make it look more ballance.
