[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photograph at DeSoto Bend National Wildlife Refuge. When I got there the water level was much higher than I have been used to. This log normally is much higher in the air and I liked how it temporarily dipped into the water on this occasion.

I too liked the photo. The colors are coordinating beautifully, but the striking elements are its sharpness and simplicity of this well composed photo.

Derrald I really like this shot of yours. Excellent composition bringing the trunk into the scene like this. The colors right from the brightest spot to the darkest shadows is very nicely exposed too.
I am thinking of getting the 10-22 lens for my Rebel. Photos like this makes we want to head out and get one NOW!
A question for you though. Why did you choose the Singh Ray ND filter? Do the Hoya ND filters work just as good? Seems to me every time I see a Singh Ray ND filter I get blown away with wonderful results! Just curious before I fork out the cash!
Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Beautiful shot, Derrald. Nice composition, and perfectly-judged exposure to give you such terrific evening tones. I picked up a copy of the 10-22mm lens last week, and haven't been able to take it outside for a run - if I get shots even half as good as yours, I'll be delighted. Bravo!

Hello Derrald,

HI Derrald,

It is very nice. Well composed, sharp and colorful. The elements in the front are interesting connection with the background. I like the calm atmosphere and the low lighting.
PLus I like that I cannot see the effect of the ND filter.

TFS,

Miklós

Great composition. Like how sharp everything is, especially the reeds, even with the slow shutter. I'd never be able to get something like that here. Wind never stops.

Very breath-taking. The color alone is just wonderful. The composition is so impeccable. TFS.

Happy New Year.
