The Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge was completed in 2003 and connects Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with East Cape Girardeau, Illinois over the Mississippi River. The main span is 1149.6 ft long and the total length is 3955.0 ft.

This photo was taken a couple years ago from a boat. The trees in the background are on the Illinois side of the river.
