Photographer’s Note
My inspiration for this shot came from another's post on TE of the original church in Norway. Here is the URL to his shot. Sorry I don't know how to post a link.

I've also posted a workshop with a view from a the other side of the church. I liked the contrasting colors better on the original.
Located on the grounds of the Hjemkomst Center is the Stave Church, a symbol of the Norwegian heritage in the Red River Valley. Built by Guy Paulson, the church is a full-scale replica of the Hopperstad Church in Vik, Norway
The Hjemkomst Viking Ship, permanently housed in the center; was built by Robert Asp and his family and sailed to Norway in 1984. Several traveling exhibits are also held at Heritage Hall, a 7,000 sq./ft. hall and have included a NASA, Dinosaur and Juried Folk Art exhibits.

Very interesting. I like the tree on the right side, framing the wooden church. The blue of the sky is also very good.
I would have been better in my mind withouth the shadow on the left side.
Merry christmas and happy new year,
Emmanuel

I got to see this replica for the first time this past December, beautiful building. I really like this photo with the stave church in the midwestern winter. The shadow down the church and the branches obscurring the photo are a little distracting but its still a good photo. I like how the church is off centered and the tree on the right frames the church.
