Photographer’s Note

This panaramic was composed of 13 vertical shots taken through my telephoto. This is a picture of a beautiful sunset on a very peaceful evening at Gull Lake. The lake lies just outside of Brainerd, MN. I was happy with how this one turned out and just figured I would post to get some other opinions. I also posted a much larger version of the pano. I reposted a wider more correct version.

Perhaps it takes a native from Minnesota whose ancestors farmed in Red Lake County west of Brainerd to appreciate this wonderful image. I happen to qualify! You share photos from countryside that I've travelled through dozens of times at I journeyed with my parents from our home in Richfield to Oklee and Trail. Relatives live in Thief River Falls, Fargo and Grand Forks. I don't miss the winters after over thirty years on the West Coast, but images like this certainly remind me of beautiful summers, often at the lake. This is a spectacular panorama of a gorgeous scene. How it has received so little attention is a mystery to me. A belated welcome to TE. Perhaps on another occasion we can share stories about life in Minnesota... ;-)

Hi Kirk
I've spent a fair amount of time in the Minnesota/ND area during the past several years, but not nearly enough in settings such as these. One of the more memorable sunsets was in Minneapolis, however. Great work with the panorama, sharp and well exposed.
